The Ohio State University Center for Urban and Regional Analysis (CURA) is hosting, in collaboration with the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center and the Cultures of Adaptation Network, “Unpacking the 5th U.S. National Climate Assessment for the Midwest & Flash Talks Highlighting Climate Resilience Partnerships in Central Ohio“.

Dr. Aaron Wilson will provide an overview of the Fifth National Climate Assessment, with particular emphasis on the ramifications for the Midwest United States. Following Dr. Wilson’s presentation, Dr. Ryan Winston from The Ohio State University, Katie Devlin from IMPACT, and Jennie McAdams from Franklin County Public Health will deliver brief “flash talks” highlighting climate resilience partnerships in Central Ohio.

Dr. Aaron Wilson is an Assistant Professor, Agricultural Weather and Climate Field Specialist with the Department of Extension in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University. He is also the State Climatologist and principal research scientist at the Byrd Polar & Climate Research Center. Aaron’s research and engagement focuses on observed changes in temperature and precipitation over recent decades, from a global overview to local changes in Ohio.
